UIMP Sites
Following its inauguration as Menendez Pelayo International University and the recovery of La Magdalena Palace in the 1940s, UIMP experienced a process of consolidation and growth while always maintaining its standard of academic excellence. Decades later, in the time of democracy, there was a need to increase the offering of advanced courses in a transforming Spain. This led to the creation of UIMP sites, whether their own or in a consortium with other entities, all over the country. The first addition was in Santander, where Las Llamas Campus was built in collaboration with Cantabria University. Las Llamas Greater College includes a building with classrooms and a residential and leisure centre called Torres Quevedo. The sites grew into the current network, listed on the map shown below. The sites form a significant and growing part of UIMP's activities.
