Day 5

09:00 - 13:00: Module title: Writing practice

    • Any of the topics seen during days 1 to 4.
  • Objectives:
    • Creating outline and structure
    • Use relevant vocabulary and grammatical structures
    • Summarizing
    • Creating a piece of writing
  • Feedback, class correction
    • Students present their writing and it is read out and reviewed by class.

13:00 - 14:15: Speaking activity preparation

  • Students will prepare for 2 speaking activities that will be performed in afternoon session.
    1. Presentation - Topic to be chosen by student based on days 1 - 4
    2. Debate/meeting - Topics:
      • The parents' role in childhood obesity
      • Designer babies
      • Animal testing
      • Choose me - clinical trials when there is no other hope.
      • Bullying - psychological reasons, warning for the future?

15:30 - 17:00: Module title: Putting it in practice

15:30 - 17:15: Presentations

  • Each student should give the presentation he/she has prepared in the previous session.
    Time allowance - 15 minutes for both presentation and Q&A
  • Feedback to be given at end of session

17:15 - 18:45: Meetings/Debates

  • Students will participate in the debate/meeting they selected and prepared for in previous session.
